When you say Sarah Geronimo, you always get the best of her. Her songs are always on top of music countdown lists. Breathtaking are her performances because of her energetic vibes for dance moves. Not counting less and even more expanding are her fans who always admire their idol in total loyalty for six years in the row. A record breaker indeed? Definitely, it is.

I have had this first-time experience to watch Sarah at her latest concert in the Araneta Coliseum last Nov. 7 (Saturday). Not just that Careline was one of her sponsors, nonetheless I just wanted to see for myself the Sarah Geronimo herself on stage. I had no seat to comfort myself with, but I was at the side of the stage (a given privilege indeed) though standing. And you know what? From the very start of the concert until the end, the audiences never stopped shouting, dancing and waving banners. The oomph never ended!

It comes to no surprise that Careline has chosen Sarah Geronimo as its endorser. It is not just that Sarah matches Careline’s value for teen beauty, but it is that Careline knows that Sarah has been an upright exemplar for the youth… inside and out.

Before the concert, she enthralled the people of Catbalogan in a motorcade together with Mark Bautista. Despite the humid weather, Sarah and Mark exchanged smiles with the people who were eager to get near them and greet them face-to-face. The two music icons were always grateful to the people because they are the roots of their success in the industry.

Throughout the Next One concert in Samar, Careline Cosmetics assists Sarah in building great confidence on stage. People trooped the venue for an all-night concert of the hottest pop star princess in the Philippines. The fans cheered loudly as Sarah appeared for her first number. The place became a cacophony of cheers and sing-along when the beloved princess performed her songs, revivals and other latest songs that marked the public’s musical memories. Sarah Geronimo has again proven her skills in energetically performing for the crowd.

A twist of romance captured the audience when Mark Bautista hits the concert stage with Sarah! Their tandem made the audience dance to their bouncy beat.

Truly, Sarah Geronimo is the next one! From winning the Star for a Night singing competition hosted by Regine Velasquez, Sarah Geronimo has improved her talent to the next level! Her television shows, album launchings and concert performances nationwide and abroad has proven her inevitable path to stardom. In fact, Sarah Geronimo has released multi-platinum albums including her top-selling debut album, Popstar: A Dream Come True, which became the 20th biggest selling album in OPM History.

It is to no surprise that the concert ended successfully! But this end only means having the capacity to begin and conquer another concert stage nationwide and abroad…

Nationalism awakens my teen spirit! As a teen, it is my duty to be aware of the recent incidents of my country.

August 5, 2009 was a day of mourning for the entire Filipino people because of the funeral of our beloved former President Corazon C. Aquino or fondly called by many as Tita Cory. It was a great day when people from all walks of life gathered together in the street of Manila to Manila Memorial Park in Paranaque City to accompany the remains of Tita Cory to her final destination.  There were professionals, celebrities, dignitaries, government officials, ordinary people and students lining the street. They were all shouting “Laban” and “mahal ka namin Tita Cory” while yellow confetti filled the air.

Seeing this in the television gave me a feeling of great sorrow because Tita Cory has been instrumental to the restoration of democracy. Much has been said about Tita Cory and I believe that those words were true in the real sense that even teenagers who weren’t born yet during the 1986 People Power felt a great loss. But how did Tita Cory really influenced our lives that we felt almost the same for her?

I guess the adage “love begets love” was the answer. Tita Cory sowed love in the hearts of the people when she sacrificed herself for the welfare of the Filipino people. She exemplified the true meaning of ‘public service’ which was difficult to find in our time. Selfless, prayerful, loving and caring were some of the perfect adjectives to describe Tita Cory’s personality. Qualities that should be emulated by the modern teenagers to continue the fight of Tita Cory! These are the qualities that should embody the youth to turn around this country to a better nation.

Careline wishes to thank Tita Cory for her noble example of love for the country, undying faith in God and respect for human lives. Careline wishes her peace in the arms of our Creator and eternal happiness with her beloved Ninoy in God’s kingdom. Thank and farewell Tita Cory.
